Do you recognize her?
She’s Denni, the girl behind the uber-famous fashion blog Chicmuse
I usually don’t read outfit-only blogs. The only one I’ve liked so far is the beautiful blog of Zarna.
It’s complicated to explain, but usually I just don’t find them that much inspiring. It’s not a judgment, I think it is because they’re a mix of things that don’t relate to me: they’re not as great as the fashion icons that I admire (and adore… ehm… Taylor Tomasi anyone?) or the fashion editorials I read in magazines but at the same time they’re still too beautiful and stylish (and often much more wealthy than I am) to look at them as girls like me from which I can take inspiration for my everyday style.
It just doesn’t work with me.
(Of course I still like a lot of blog that mix outfit posts to other kinds of articles but this is another thing)
But one day I saw her…

And all of the sudden I understood what a muse is (and seriously, it’s funny but this has nothing to do with her blog name)
I browsed through her blog for a good 20 minutes then took my paper and inks and start to draw furiously.
These are the first two drawings (of which I’m not even that convinced if I have to be sincere) I did of her but I bet there will be more in the future
Why do I like her so much? I don’t know how to explain it, she just pushes the right fashion-beauty-freak button inside me. She’s elegant but edgy, she’s beautiful but in a really unique way and most importantly she has a real statement style, with her super long black hair, the thick eye-liner and the red lips

If I were a fashion designer I think I would draw many clothes inspired by her.
And isn’t this, in the end, what a muse is?

(Do you like her? I think I can say she’s my fashion fixation muse number 2 after Taylor Tomasi… Add a 3rd one and the next time I look at myself into the mirror I’ll start to go out with hidden in a big potato bag)

I like the attitude too on the second one but looking at it, I don’t think it resembles her that much… Bah, I have all my life to make hundreds of drawing of her (I’ll become a chicmuse specialist LOL)

Zizza, l’indirizzo del blog è sbagliato mi sa, ho dovuto aggiungere il “the”!
Che dire? Come sempre mi inquieto a vedere questi mucchietti d’ossa che bonazze come te invidiano e ammirano e ai quali vorrebbero assomigliare ( http://s324.photobucket.com/albums/k328/denni_123/2011/?action=view¤t=pradabaroque0.jpg ), ma stavolta bisogna riconoscerle innanzitutto un viso splendido, quindi l’attenuante dell’etnia che la rende di costituzione magrissima, e poi soprattutto il suo indubbio talento artistico: le foto sono meravigliose, a partire dal suo atteggiamento e finendo ai colori, passando per i vestiti qui *davvero* belli a differenza che nella maggior parte dei blog del genere che conosco (dove pare che ormai “straccetto informe maculato + scarpe in stile nonna anni 90 = fashion statement!!!”.

LOL ora non esageriamo con il bonazza XD comunque è vero, she is mucchietto d’ossa ma con stile! E parecchio anche! Infatti è per questo, come da premessa, che non seguo praticamente nessun’altra fashion blogger che pubblichi solo le sue foto: non ci trovo quella scintilla in più che dovrebbe renderle uniche. Lei invece… Non so ma ha un’aura di stile e bellezza incredibile!

è bellissima come location, colori, posa, costume….ma se guardi la dimensione degli arti c’è qualcosa di veramente strano O_o
Va bene è parecchio secca, ma secondo me è proporzionata, è un tipo di fisico che le si addice, non è uno scheletro di 1 metro e 85 che se lo tocchi si spezza in due come molte modelle… secondo me come dicevi prima l’etnia conta tanto. Looking at just the photos you posted here I can see why you would want to get your paper and art materials out and just start drawing her, she’s got that ‘something’ about her that just makes you want to draw her on paper. I love that shot with her head bent down, I might have a go at drawing that myself :D

Oh Al how wonderful!! I love when I read about people translating their inspiration furiously into illustration. It makes me so excited and anxious to create myself. I’m afraid I’ve entered a bit of an artist’s crisis now that I’ve completed school. I sort of feel like I don’t know where to begin. Ah oy vey, it’s causing me great distress and then I come here and I see that there really are no limits to what you chose to draw. I know I just have to start somewhere. Sometimes studying art makes you stop yourself from just doing art in a natural way (as you’ve so clearly done). I’m hoping that this little phase will pass. Anyways, I hope all is well in your world.
