Inspired by Everlasting Sprout SS 2012
Yes!! Tokyo Fashion Week is finally started!!
It’s the first fashion tragic events of past March (the Autumn-Winter 2011-2012 was canceled for obvious reasons) and, as in all the other parts of their economy, the Japanese people are working hard to make things turn again and are showing us that also their fashion business is still full of energy and have lots of good things to show to the world.
And to kick-start the new beginning, the traditionally called Japanese Fashion Week has now a new name and a new sponsor: it is now officially the Mercedes-Benz Tokyo Fashion Week!
So I’m going to talk to you about about this very special fashion week to me (at this point you should already know that I am a Japan freak…) many times in my next posts but I want to start with one of the collections I liked the most until now: Everlasting Sprout.
My favorite things? Here they are!

You can see the full collection on Japanesestreets.com, which is covering most of the fashion shows of Tokyo fashion week.
There are soooo many differences between Japanese and Western fashion but I’ll tell you which ones in the next articles (together with some of my favorite shows) ;-)
Now I’m off, see you tomorrow for another bite of Tokyo Fashion Week!
Kisses

First of all I fell in love with this illustration the moment you posted it on your wall! Those blue polka dots really make a difference!
The collection looks very cute and girly! I don’t know much about Japanese Fashion (and I rely on you to learn more), but I do own a book with Japanese street style looks, and I like flipping through the pages for some style inspiration from time to time (well from the looks that aren’t so over the top!)
Thank you dear Anna!!
I’m glad that you liked the polka dots! I wanted to recall a recurring element of the collection and also I’m experimenting with colored backgrounds instead of the normal white ones, so I’m really happy if you tell me that you like it: it’s a new thing for me and I need feedback! :D
Just found your blog and it’s really awesome. So sad that I actually live in Japan and didn’t know about this. It’s inspiring me to explore more of Japan and it’s fashion.
