Since I don’t have time to draw or compose a “normal” post (sadness :( but I’ll be back soon!) I thought I could show you a few things I did for other people in the past months.
The first image is the front of my friends Pieter and Ziggy weeding invitation (remember I talked about it on Facebook?)
It’s not easy to find a gay weeding invitation that doesn’t look cheesy or too Village People-like (I saw one with Batman and Robin kissing… I mean, come on people!) and plus they wanted something that could represent them in a closer way… So they asked me to draw it for them (this has been such an honor for me!!)
They love to travel (they always do amazing trips, I so envy them!) and they’re very nice and easy people so they wanted something simple but nice that represented them and their passions.
That’s how I came up with this image (I used a photo of them hugging while sitting on a rock in China as a model for their black shapes)
And this is the back:
She also loves to travel, she has a passion for horses and nature and she has a great fashion sense (her outfits are really chic and gorgeous) and she blogs about these passions so she wanted a header that could immediately give an idea of what her blog is about.
So I decide to draw her with her beloved horse Sero and add some travel elements.
She asked me if it was possible to picture Paris and India so since I recently made the Taj Mahal for Pieter and Ziggy I decided to use it for this illustration too.
What do you think about them? Do you like them?
A few days ago, I was also super happy to be featured on Belmodo.tv (remember the little illustration job I did for them?) as one of their “Blog To watch” blogs!
They wrote this supernice article with tons of my drawings and I couldn’t have been happier! Thank you Tiany and Angelique!!
And last but not least: this is my very first business card!! Do you like it?
Front and back
Now I go to bed, tomorrow’s got a department presentation to do (again! :-/) and then I’ll be free to draw and write here on The Red Dot again!
