And here it is, ladies and gentlemen, my little “Poor little girl goes to Paris Fashion Week” video!
Subtitle: “My whole Fashion Week experience in 1 minute and 22 seconds” (a record ahah!)
Don’t blame me for not showing myself: I was the one behind the camera! :D I promise that for next time I will be more organized… And again, I have so much fun editing these little videos… It’s like 300 posts concentrated together! And there is the music, which for me is always a plus.
I hope I’ll be able to make more videos in the future. Like, in two weeks I’m going to Amsterdam again so maybe… Do you like the short video? Would you like to see more of them?
I hope you like it… And even if you don’t (it’s not professional nor cool, I know) just remember that it was made with love :D
Many kisses
Al

Oh I love it? Oh my god, you’re a illustrator, a photographer and now a video maker!
I won’t ever be able doing some video something! Lol
Congrats, a really nice video!
ahah no wait I’m not professional in any of these things you say… I’m the typical girl who wants to do everything and in the end does nothing in a proper way XD
But I’ve always wanted to make video clips, ever since my very early youth (God, how I sound old!!) so now that I have the tools…. why not? ;-)
Many kisses, dear and I’m really happy you liked the video!
Nice video Al! And yes, I would love to see a video of Amsterdam, I really miss The Netherlands so please make a very long video! X Priscella
thank you!! <3
I’ll try to make the Amsterdam video for you eheh… But how is going in Leuven? Everything OK? Are you very homesick? :(
We should meet once!
kisses
Yay a dutch video! Hehe, I find it a bit hard to get used to Belgium. It is so close to were i come from but so very different!
It would be very nice to meet! Just let me know when you have some time!
X
Wonderful video!! I asked myself a couple of days ago whether I’d manage to take pictures and videos of something at the same time (not literally of course!), and then was indecisive what to prefer – strange since I used to think of myself as the (wannabe) photographer…. but isn’t it kind of stressful and one is always afraid to miss the best things?? But your videos dont look stressful at all and I’d love to see more, also of non-fashion things!
good night!
xx
ps. love the music, too!
I decided that I’d try to make some video like 2 months before fashion week (before garance doré even! I have to say this! ahahah) and itt was really my biggest concern before I went there: what if I miss the moment? What if I lose the chance for a great photo?
But once there I felt more free and had less concerns. I kinda felt the right moment to shoot, and the right moment to film… It’s something that comes spontaneously I think. Of course I missed shots, and of course I did some horrible filmings that in the end made me regret it… But it’s a balance. And also, you have to be very quick in switching! In the backstage at Andrew Gn I was constantly switching from video to the manual setting (which is crap because they’re at the opposite hands of the selection weel ahah)… And I changed my lenses a couple of times too… But this is something I have to get better in too if I want to do good videos: “sacrifice” more photo moments for filming and take it more calmly. But this comes only with exercise I think…
Anyway you should try it, it’s fun!
kisses
I’ll do so, maybe during my next holidays (not sure whether I’d also post that on the blog, we’ll see). I used to compose photo slideshows with music during my time in Belgium, that was fun! May I ask which programme you’re using? and haha, I understand the Garance Doré thing!! I don’t think it was her for me, either… I sometimes watch videos of fashion week, those without music etc, just what’s going on outside, and those “compositions” like yours. At some point wondered if I could do that, too. And yes, exercising for sure will help! I only had my “normal” and my tele lense in paris, but couldn’t use the tele at all. Actually now I thinking about sending back the marni h&m shirt, since it’s like 2/3 of the canon 50 mm ;).
Good night and many kisses!
Just saw in your next comment which programme you’re using ;)
Premiere, indeed… it might seem hostile at first but after playing with it a little bit you get used to it… You can start by trying to compose video that you might not publish, but in the meanwhile you can train with the program.
I promise to reply to your mail soon! (do you believe me if I tell you that I totally didn’t make the Astrid-Cato connection???)
Great video! I like that it’s not “professional”…makes it more authentic! =) It’s been so fun reading your accounts and seeing the pics… looks like you had an amazing time!
~Joanna
It’s true probably that’s a good thing of non professional videos: you feel more “in touch” with them. But still, I’d like to learn better how take frames as better as possible and use Adobe Premiere properly… I hope I’ll evolve a bit more!
But thank you, I’m happy you liked it! :D
xx
brilliant, al! perfectly timed to bjorks ‘it’s oh so quiet’. thumbs up, i love!
I was sure you would approve the music! :D
big kisses dear
Oh, Al! The video is very well made considering that you’re a beginner ;)
Thank you!! I hope I’ll get better :D
Like it!
Have fun in Amsterdam, my new city ;)
xx
Hi Noortje! Happy you like it!
I so envy you for living in Amsterdam… I want to go there with my boyfriend tooooo!!!! (and I love the city!)
