Ciao a tutti e benvenuti nel mio primo make-up tutorial!
(mio Dio, ditemi che non suono come Pippo Baudo in apertura a Sanremo per piacere…)
Nonostante il benvenuto scenico non aspettatevi niente di trascendentale: è soltanto una piccola idea che mi è venuta durante una domenica un po’ sonnolenta, dopo aver visto il make-up della sfilata Autunno-Inverno 2011-12 di Chloé, che mi ha veramente colpito per la sua semplicità e allo stesso tempo la sua capacità di rendere lo sguardo profondo e intenso.
Ha un che molto anni ’70 e una calda semplicità che lo rende molto adatto per l’estate… Inoltre è anche facilissimo da realizzare!
Avrete anche bisogno di pochi prodotti, per la felicità dell’orologio e del portafogli (ovviamente quelli nelle foto sono la mia scelta, ma voi potete assolutamente usare prodotti diversi che vi piacciono di più)
It has a very 70s vibe and a warm simplicity that makes it very good for summer too and also very easy to make.
Il trucco che ho fatto io è un po’ più chiaro dell’originale, ma se vi piace più scuro come nelle foto della sfilata basterà che aggiungiate più ombretto marrone sulla palpebra inferiore (cosa che sta molto bene soprattutto a chi ha gli occhi chiari. Io ho evitato perchè tende a far sembrare un po’ stanchi gli occhi marroni come i miei)
Ho usato gli stessi prodotti per occhi e guance: il trucco sembra più uniforme, naturale e il vostro viso sembrerà illuminato da una leggera luce diffusa.
Pronti, attenti, via!
1) La base
Crema giorno Lancaster Skin Therapy Gel-cream
Kiehl’s Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate
Fondotinta Lancome Color Ideal
Correttore MAC Studio Finish
MAC Vanilla pigment
Applicate la crema idratante (io ho anche messo un contorno occhi di Kiehl’s che è una mano santa per occhiaie e piccole rughe), stendete il fondotinta uniformemente e applicate un correttore di mezzo tono più chiaro del fondotinta intorno agli occhi, nelle parti in ombra del viso e sulle piccole imperfezioni.
Stendete la polvere del Vanilla pigment con le mani (importante per rendere tutto il trucco più luminoso e preciso… Vi consiglio davvero di comprare questo prodotto, è il miglior multi-uso che abbia mai avuto)
Suggerimento: mescolate il pigmento Vanilla alla vostra crema da giorno: il colore bianco con riflessi beige farà sembrare la vostra pelle più luminosa e sana senza renderla brillantinosa o lucida. E’ come un primer, solo più economico (e altrettanto efficace)
2) L’ombretto
Ombretto MAC colore “Phloof!”
Blush in crema MAC colore “Uncommon”
Applicate il blush in crema su tutta la palpebra e stendete bene con i polpastrelli (o con un pennello da correttore). Aggiungete l’ombretto luminoso color crema al centro della palpebra superiore (ma non troppo) per dare luminosità e profondità allo sguardo.
3) L’ombretto più scuro e le sfumature

Stendete la vostra terra abbronzante su tutta la palpebra con un pennello per ombretto morbido ma compatto: il “marrone” della terra è quello più adatto alla vostra carnagione e contiene il giusto equilibrio fra effetto luminoso e opaco (adoro questa di Collistar, che chiamano fard ma secondo me è più una terra… è leggermente rosata ed è perfetta per le pelli chiare. Ed è in una bella e comodissima confezione con specchio e pennello).
Sfumate l’ombretto marrone scuro opaco nell’angolo della palpebra e nella piega con il pennello morbido fino ad ottenere un risultato omogeneo come nella foto.
Suggerimento: sfumate tenendo l’occhio aperto. In questo modo il pennello seguirà le linee formate dalle vostre ossa e dall’occhio e renderà un risultato perfetto (questo consiglio me lo diede un make-up artist MAC ed è impagabile!)
4) L’eyeliner

Eyeliner in gel MAC Fluidline colore “Blacktrack”
Ombretto MAC colore “Corduroy”
Passate l’eyeliner (in crema, gel o con il kajal, non con l’eyeliner liquido: non si sfuma) su tutta la palpebra superiore e su metà di quella inferiore. Non c’è bisogno di essere precise.
Sfumate la linea con un pennellino da eyeliner e l’ombretto marrone scuro. Adesso l’effetto è preciso e sfumato.
5) Le ciglia
MAC Zoom Lash mascara colore “Zoomblack”
Passate un sacco di mascara nero sulle ciglia superiori e inferiori.
Il mio preferito in assoluto, che è anche quello usato per la sfilata di Chloé, è lo Zoom Lash di MAC. Costa 15 euro e fa sembrare i vostri occhi quelli di una diva del cinema. Lo amo cosi’ tanto che non l’ho mai cambiato da quando l’ho scoperto due anni fa (e di solito sperimento un sacco, non compro quasi mai lo stesso prodotto due volte di fila anche se mi è piaciuto molto… ma ho ricomprato questo mascara già 5 volte di fila!)
6) Il tocco finale
Blush in crema MAC colore “Uncommon”

Rossetto MAC colore “Beigeland”
Tocco finale:
Stendete il blush in crema e/o la terra (io la mia l’ho messa perchè è leggermente rosata e luminosa) e mettete un rossetto “nudo” (quello nella foto, anche se non sembra, è un bel beige rosato leggermente metallizzato, secondo me dona molto)
E se volete ricreare il look della sfilata in toto disegnate delle lentiggini finte! Io le trovo adorabili (anche se non mi ci metterei mai a farle, dev’essere difficilissimo farle naturali)

i loooove your tutorial. especially this look – it’s exactly what i want to wear every day. that’s why – if i buy eye shadows (which i don’t like to do, because i don’t like the colours that apparently suit me) – i keep on buying brown/beige/rose/ tones, which actually don’t suit my brown eyes. as you wrote: brown tends to make brown eyes look tired (or worse: dirty). but your tutorial gave me hope. i think the right foundation is important. will try it step by step with my new brown-ish colour palette. :) looking forward to your next tutorial (i would love to see another everyday look – to me it seems to be much more difficult than an evening look!)

For the brown eyes thing: you’ve got to wear it in the right way and the right tone, unluckily we have to be careful with these kind of colors.
I wear brown almost everyday and it suits me, but I know I have to avoid some styles and some shades. I think that for you a cold dark brown (not reddish) with some bright beige eyeshadow in the light points of the eyes (inner conner, in the middle of the eyelid and in the center of the lower lashline) would be the best. And with some browns I’m very careful on the concealer (it has to be a bit lighter than the foundation and well applied) and the bright base/primer. Also, a good bright, pink-peachy blush will make the whole look fresher!
And sure I’ll do another everyday makeup tutorial, also Gigi told me she prefers that one! ;-)

First of all I have to tell you that your illustration has the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen!!
Nice choice of colors for a make up tutorial! Chloe also did brown-ish make up for their Spring-Summer 2010 show and I had cut the picture of the magazine and went to a cosmetics store to get similar colors of eye shadows (again the make up was from MAC, but I didn’t go to a MAC store…I ended up taking Chanel eye shadows)
I’ll definitely try the bronzing powder as eye shadow…and I think you just persuaded me to get gel black eyeliner. I have a liquid one and it is so hard to use! (I want to emulate Alexa Chung, with questionable results)!

Believe me, the gel eyeliner changes your life: with the liquid I was never able to make very straight lines and it never gave a good result. Instead, if you use this brush and the gel formula the control is much better and you can choose to have thick lines or thin lines, defined or smoked and so on. It costs a bit (I think it was 16 for the eyeliner and about 20 for the brush…) but they last a lifetime. It’s already two years I have that pot, it’s really worth it. I suggest you the MAC ones (quality/price ratio is way better than other brands)
